Tentatively we have procured the HF antennas and HF radios that we
will use. I have successfully networked 2 laptops with N3FJP software
to log contacts. I am considering adding a GOTA (get on the air)
station. This is a station that is manned by a licensed operator
allowing non Hams to make contacts. An excellent way to get young
people interested in the hobby. This would necessitate a third HF
radio and antenna, plus another laptop for logging.
I believe Gale will be setting up a VHF
station and he will also be manning the BBQ grill. Please consider
donating food for the event. Field Day is a big deal for ham radio in
our community and I am looking for more volunteers for the Field Day
planning committee.
